HEY, I'M ERICA!
I’m a freelance videographer and photographer originally from the Kansas City area. I’m a junior at Indiana University pursuing a BA in Creative Media Advertising with a Sport Marketing minor. At IU, I’m a Creative Video Intern at the Mark Cuban Center for Sports Media and Technology. Although sports have been the area I’m most involved with these past five years, I enjoy working with all kinds of media, from portraits to events and more!

HOW I GOT HERE...
Since I was 8, there has always been a camera in my hand. I remember taking photos of my little brother’s baseball team with a tiny digital camera that I still carry around today. My passion for media and sports only grew from there. Originally, my creative journey began in film production because of my love of capturing meaningful stories. However, working with my high school athletic teams showed me I could combine these passions because those meaningful stories exist in sports as well.
WHERE I'M AT NOW...
Currently, I work as an intern with IU Athletics in the video department. So far, I've spent the most time with women’s soccer, tennis, basketball, and a historic Indiana Football team. At the Cuban Center, I create content for Indiana's social media pages and various in-venue video content. Through my internship and studies at IU, I am continuing to grow my skills in the Adobe suite and technical knowledge in the sports industry.
MY GOAL
Emotion is the foundation of my content because I feel that's the most powerful, truthful way to tell a story. During my time in media, I discovered my love for creating a sense of community and belonging. This led me to focus on content that makes people excited to be a part of something bigger than themselves. I strongly believe it's important for everyone to find a piece of work that they can relate to and believe truly reflects who they are! I want to help create content that makes people feel confident and proud to be a part of. I am so excited to tell your story and help you remember your favorite moments!
